Donald Trump issued harsh warnings for America’s adversaries by claiming if a foreign entity ‘try to kill our citizens, we will kill you.’ The former president appeared flabbergasted during remarks at the Republican Jewish Coalition Summit on Saturday at the fact that Hamas actually launched the brutal attack on Israel earlier this month.
‘Three weeks ago our world was shattered by an attack on Israel,’ Trump noted. Trump warned the U.S. against becoming ‘like Europe,’ where he claims there are ‘Jihads on every corner.’
‘You take a look at London. You take a look at Paris. You take a look at what’s going on over there. We want to be the United States of America,’ Trump said. He also claimed that a large problem is the repeated efforts by America to bring democracy to other countries, which he claims just compromises the U.S. further.
‘Under my leadership we will not squander our strength by trying to build democracies or quicksand like we try to do. ‘Let’s take over a country and let’s make it a democracy.’ How does that work out? Not too good,’ Trump said to a room of Jewish Republicans at the Venetian Casino and Conference Center in the Last Vegas Strip.
‘We’ll turn Baghdad into Palm Beach,’ he joked. ‘Doesn’t work out too well.’
He did, however, assure: ‘We will use American power to deter those who would harm our people.’ Trump insisted that Iran is as equally to blame for the massacre in Israel as Hamas. The deadly attack left more than 1,400 Israelis dead and resulted in the highest single-day death toll of Jewish people since the Holocaust.
He also said 100 percent of the funds paid to Gaza for humanitarian aid will go into the hands of Hamas terrorists. Trump closed the RJC Summit’s morning events, which saw eight 2024 GOP candidates speak – but also saw the field shrink by one when former Vice President Mike Pence announced he is dropping out of the race.
But if elected for another four years, Trump said he would lead with an even heavier hand than his first term in issuing retaliation against those that threaten America and her citizens.
‘When I’m back in the White House the United States will stand with Israel all the way,’ he said to a roaring crowd.
‘We will fully support the Israelis in their mission to ensure that Hamas in decimated and that these atrocities will be avenged – they will be avenged,’ he vowed. ‘In many ways they will be avenged, I think even beyond what you’re thinking about.’
Trump also joined early on the chorus of Republicans blaming President Joe Biden for creating a ‘weaker’ U.S. that other countries and hostile entities felt emboldened to attack. Since Biden took office, it’s happened with Russia in Ukraine, Hamas in Israel and now, the fear is that China attacking Taiwan could be next.
‘Biden’s weakness provokes war and death because, as history shows, evil only respects one thing – unyielding strength,’ Trump said.
‘When I’m back in the White House, Americans enemies will now, once again – and they’re going to know it – that if you try to kill our citizens, we will kill you,’ he added.
The former president said he told other countries this already.
‘If you spill a drop of American blood, we will spill a gallon of your’s,’ he continued. ‘We’re doing it because we want to start peace.’
